Individual-related Problems and Solutions  

1. Adaptation to workplace culture

Problem: I have workplace social anxiety during the internship practice. 

Solution: Seek opportunities to socialize and to accompany with colleagues.

 

2. Discipline 

2.1 Problem: I dressed inappropriately in workplaces and I was warned by my on-site supervisor.

      Solution: Show acknowledgment of the cases and learn to follow workplace regulations.

2.2 Problem: I received a warning due to an absence from work.

      Solution: Manage time for work, it is also important to inform the cases of events to the workplace in advance and as soon as possible.

 

3. Knowledge

3.1 Problem:  I misunderstood the assigned work and that resulted in the delayed and ineffective work quality.

      Solution:  Inquire the relevant staff or a workplace supervisor in order to do an assigned task correctly.

3.2 Problem:  I lacked terminology of Information Technology, Business, and Legal.

      Solution:  Take notes and inquire the relevant staff or a workplace supervisor to check the details of every assigned task.

 

4. Communication Skills

Problem: I have communication problems during the internship practice. 

Solution: Collect all related information that will be used to contact people in the workplace.

Organization-related Problems and Solutions

1. Natural Disaster 

Problem: I accidentally faced any major natural disasters that damaged the workplace and temporary residence for 1 to 4 weeks, such as flood, fire, storm, tsunami, earthquake, and eruption.

Solution: Requests returning to the university.

 

2. Accident

2.1 Problem: I have had accidents at the moment of internship practice or around the moment of internship practice.

      Solution: Informs the workplace supervisor or co-op staff/ Pro-ex advisor, if there is no progress, trainee requests for returning to the university.

2.2 Problem: I have had damage in/of my belongings from crime or robber. 

      Solution: Informs the workplace supervisor. If there is no progress, trainee requests returning to the university.

 

3. Abuse

Problem: I was abused verbally, physically, and sexually in the workplace.

Solution: Informs the workplace supervisor or co-op staff/ Pro-ex advisor, if there is no progress, trainee requests for returning to the university.

 

4. Workplace

4.1 Problem:  I was assigned tasks that are beyond the informed responsibility.

      Solution:  Continue working to the possible capability, and contact internship supervisors
 

4.2 Problems: The organization does not appoint the mentor for trainee clearly.

      Solution: Informs the HR manager or co-op staff/ Pro-ex advisor, if there is no progress, trainee requests for returning to the university.

4.3 Problems:  I have faced business closure or disease outbreak or I have not received the welfare as stated in the response form.

     Solution: Informs the workplace supervisor or co-op staff/ Pro-ex advisor, if there is no progress, trainee requests for returning to the university.
